xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will begin shooting later this month and here is what we know so far:
Nina will play a witty and sarcastic techie and she will be one of the female leads.
She will have scenes with Vin Diesel and with the other female leads as well.
You can follow D.J. Caruso on twitter who is the director of the film!
Congratulations Nina we are all so proud of you and can’t wait!
Nina Dobrev and “Orange is the New Black” actress Ruby Rose are in talks to join “XXX: The Return of Xander Cage” starring Vin Diesel, sources confirm to Variety.
Samuel L. Jackson is on board to return to the series with D.J. Caruso directing. F. Scott Frazier is penning the script.
While financing is in place, a distributor is still trying to be worked out. The first two in the series were released by Sony Pictures.
Joe Roth is producing the movie with his new partner Jeff Kirschenbaum as well as Diesel and his producing partner, Samantha Vincent, who is also his sister.
The original pic starred Diesel as an extreme sports athlete recruited to be a spy and use his unique skill set to stop a global terrorist. The movie grossed $142 million domestically. A sequel followed in 2005, but it was made without Diesel and underwhelmed at the box office. Read more at Variety

Those who haven’t heard yet, Nina has landed another movie she is currently filming Crash Pad a Rom-Com. Congratulations Nina, we are all so proud of you and can’t wait to see the movie!
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate, Thomas Haden Church and Nina Dobrev are starring in the romantic comedy “Crash Pad,” which has started shooting in Vancouver, Variety has learned exclusively.
Wonderful Films, Indomitable Entertainment, and Windowseat Entertainment are the production companies. Kevin Tent, the Oscar-nominated editor on Alexander Payne’s”The Descendants” and “Nebraska” is making his directorial debut with a Black List script by Jeremy Catalino.
Gleeson stars as a hopeless romantic who thinks he’s found true love with an older woman, played by Applegate — only to learn that she’s married and that his fling is merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband, played by Church. He threatens to blackmail her by telling her husband but his plan backfires when the husband decides the best way to get back at his wife is to move in with Gleeson’s character and adopt the slacker’s life of debauchery.
Payne, who directed Haden Church in “Sideways,” is executive producing. Producers are William Horberg of Wonderful Films and Lauren Bratman. Besides Payne, the other exec producers are Dominic Ianno, Jon Ferro and Stuart Pollok of Indomitable Entertainment, Joseph McKelheer and Bill Kiely of Windowseat Entertainment, and Vicki Sotheran of Sodona Entertainment.
Don’t lose your head. With alternate endings, deleted scenes, cast & crew commentaries, and more, The Final Girls is coming to Blu-ray on November 3rd. http://sonypictur.es/pXmaCi
Be sure to Pre-Order your copy today, the movie is pretty amazing! I bought the Digital Download when it was released and I was in complete awe of it, I was big on 80 horror movies and I thought this played a nice homage to those movies, along with some nice heart, comedy and of course Nina being in it was a huge plus!
EXCLUSIVE: Former The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev is taking another trip to the big screen. Coming off the Toronto Film Festival and SpectreFest screenings of horror comedy The Final Girls, she is now headed for Arrivals, I’ve learned. The actress will join Ender’s Game’s Asa Butterfield and Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams in the Peter Hutchings-directed coming-of-age indie.
Dobrev, who left the CW’s Vampire Diaries earlier this year after six seasons, will play American flight attendant Izzy, who is the love interest of Butterfield’s character. The screenplay by Fergal Rock was a 2013 Academy Nicholl semifinalist. The pic, produced by BCDF Pictures and Kalahari Films & Media, is set to start shooting in South Africa this winter.
Butterfield’s Calvin is a hypochondriac college dropout who now works as a baggage handler at Cape Town airport. In a funk, he is pulled into the unconventional bucket list quest of Brit teen Skye, played by GoT’s Williams, who also appears on Doctor Who this season. That team-up helps Calvin to face his deepest fears.
Now off the small screen from playing Elena Gilbert on TVD, Dobrev will be seen October 9 on the big screen in the limited release of The Final Girls. Having debuted at SXSW, the Todd Strauss-Schulson directed film also stars Malin Akerman and Silicon Valley’s Thomas Middleditch. Degrassi: The Next Generation alum Dobrev previously appeared in last year’s Let’s Be Cops, 2012’s The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, and 2009’s Chloe.
Dobrev is repped by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Hansen Jacobson. Source DEADLINE
