Nina Dobrev was hinting at a major project in partnership with Oceana recently via posts on her social media channels. It has now been confirmed that it is a documentary titled Our Planet: 360.
Nina was very upbeat about the quality of the documentary and her experience when filming it.

Nina also posted a close-up of a turtle; suggesting that the documentary will cover a wider spectrum of species beyond sharks.

Nina has clearly been having fun filming the documentary; as she continues to share amazing underwater diving photographs, while also promoting a beach clean-up to help save the lives of species who live underwater from entanglement on fishing lines.

It has not been confirmed how long the documentary will be or if it will be a virtual reality experience as the 360 within the title potentially hints at, although there are details gradually filtering through every few days, so there may be more news soon.
Nina has recently spent two days with Oceana in a district of the Bahamas called Bimini to help protect sharks. Nina’s photo of herself underwater next to a shark with nearby plankton and corral along the seabed; looked as though Nina certainly enjoyed her underwater adventure and participating in the Oceana cause. It was alluded to that there would be at least one video by the mention of “Stay tuned for more sharky goodness” from Nina’s social media post.

Before Nina confirmed via an Instagram post referencing a location in Hawaii that there will be at least one video filmed; most probably as part of the #FinBanNow Oceana campaign and that filming is actually continuing,

Oceana is a good cause as their mission statement is as follows,

The Return of Xander Cage director D.J. Caruso has confirmed there are firm plans for a sequel with Vin Diesel and the entire co-starring cast including Nina Dobrev returning. The teasing of a sequel began on June 10th 2017 with Ruby Rose posting a picture on Instagram in character as Adele Wolff from The Return of Xander Cage including a mention of “more new exciting news on that soon!”

D.J. Caruso stated the day after Ruby Rose’s post that a meeting is scheduled to be taking place imminently in order to discuss the story and filming dates, while a tweet on Father’s Day confirmed that he was heading home after positive discussions.

Flatliners stars Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiersey Clemons with Keifer Sutherland returning from the original 1990 film as his character Nelson and is set to release in cinemas throughout the UK and America on September 29th 2017. Unfortunately, Nina’s guest starring role as Katherine Pierce in Season 4: Episode 13 of The Originals has been removed from Nina’s IMDB profile. Upon first glance; this may mean it was just a wild rumour and will not be happening. However, on second glance we have technically all been here before regarding Nina’s appearance in The Vampire Diaries finale. If you recall, IMDB actually listed Nina’s appearance in the final-ever episode of The Vampire Diaries while almost everyone elsewhere was reporting that Nina would not be returning in addition to the fact that the listing specifically referred to Season 8: Episode 16 before it had even become public knowledge that the final season would be 16 episodes.
There are reports that Season 4 could be the final season of The Originals due to its reduced length from 22 episodes to only 13 episodes. If Season 4 is to be the final season, then it would make sense to have Katherine Pierce or another doppelganger feature in some way to show how the Petrova bloodline would continue to evolve or for Katherine to finally get her revenge on Klaus. The involvement of a Petrova doppelganger could perhaps even lead to an important element of a spin-off series containing characters from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
If Nina is officially confirmed for a guest starring role as Katherine Pierce or even another doppelganger in The Originals: Season 4 – Episode 13, then we should expect to hear an official announcement within the next few weeks as The Originals: Season 4 began airing on The CW on March 17th 2017.
Nina Dobrev has just made a return to Funny or Die with Overheard LA which revolves around a man telling his friend what random comments he has just overheard in LA. Nina’s character sits at a table in a restaurant and proceeds to ask her friend in a serious tone, “Why would they schedule Easter during Coachella?” and other such pearls of wisdom including “Every new friend I make is just another person who might ask me to take them to the airport in the future and I do not need that. That’s why God invented Uber” which is so nasty yet quick witted that it actually sounds as though it originated from Katherine Pierce.
