The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Blu-Ray and DVD Release date is September 1st. Warner Brothers has released the Artwork and all the details for the DVD. I must say this is the best cover ever.
Mystic Falls bids farewell to one of TV’s hottest vampires when The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Sixth Season, is released on Blu-ray™ and DVD on September 1, 2015, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Season Six is also available to purchase on Digital HD. Averaging nearly 2.7 million viewers weekly in its sixth season, The Vampire Diaries remains The CW’s #1 show with young female demos and will return for a seventh season on The CW this fall. Fans can get sucked into all 22 one-hour episodes from season six and gorge on nearly two hours of gripping extras — including two brand-new featurettes, episodic audio commentary, the 2014 Comic-Con panel, deleted scenes and a gag reel. The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Sixth Season will be priced to own on DVD at $49.99 SRP and on Blu-ray at $54.97 SRP.
The Vampire Diaries continues its sixth season with more delicious drama to sink your teeth into. In season five, after a passionate summer with Damon, Elena headed to Whitmore College with Caroline, not knowing Bonnie sacrificed her life for Jeremy’s. Meanwhile, Stefan and Caroline’s friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents. In the shocking season finale, Damon, fearing he would lose his loved ones on the crumbling Other Side, made a huge sacrifice to bring them all back — with catastrophic and heartbreaking results. Season six follows the characters’ journey back to each other as they explore the duality of good versus evil inside themselves. Matt Davis reprises his role as Alaric Saltzman, recently returned from The Other Side. Plus, the season will make you misty-eyed as the departure of a major character will turn lives upside down and leave us asking what happened to Mystic Falls.
With Blu-ray’s unsurpassed picture and sound, The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Sixth Season Blu-ray release will include 1080p Full HD Video with DTS-HD Master Audio for English 5.1. The 4-disc Blu-ray will feature a Hi-definition Blu-ray, and a Digital HD copy of all 22 episodes from Season Six. Read more at Seat42f.com

Elena Gilbert Fans you might be feeling very emotional right now, because I know I am but here is a little something from Nina:

However, it might not be that different considering that Dobrev has said she’d be happy to return for a series finale. “Nina has always said that if there’s something for her to do in the series finale that she will be there to do it,” Plec said. “When she left, she said, ‘I want to see this character to its end at the end of the show, so I can’t wait to come back and put her to bed again.’ ” SOURCE
HD Captures from last nights Season Finale of The Vampire Diaries have been added to the gallery. I feel like I lost my best friend, last nights episode was so emotional and heartbreaking, but also very beautiful. Though I think the pain outweighs the beauty at this moment.
We all just spent the last 6 years of our life with The Vampire Diaries and of course Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, saying goodbye to a character is always hard. I am thankful for the years we did get from Nina on The Vampire Diaries, it doesn’t make it easy though and it still hurts.

Ever since Dobrev and executive producer Julie Plec revealed that The Vampire Diaries season six finale would be Dobrev’s last episode, fans everywhere were left to wonder if the CW show would do the unthinkable and kill off her character. It’s been weeks of back-and-forth speculation, but it all comes to an end tonight when the season six finale airs, and the question of Elena’s fate will finally be answered.
But since we can wait that long, we went straight to Plec, Dobrev, and even Michael Trevino, who is also exiting the series after tonight’s finale, to find out if we’ll be mourning or celebrating by the time the end credits roll.
“Well…,” Plec tells E! News with a laugh when asked if Elena was going to die. “I don’t know how to answer that without either hinting a yes or hinting a no. I’ll just say that we’re very happy with the choice we made about how to handle her character’s departure. We’ll see if everyone agrees.”Trevino reveals that no matter if Elena lives or dies, her exit will be permanent (unlike his, which Plec and Trevino both told us is not so permanent).
“It’s an end note for sure,” Trevino tells E! News. “It’s a big period at the end of the sentence, if you will. It’s beautiful. As we know, Nina Dobrev is leaving our show so we put a stamp of an ending there for our beloved Elena.”
And no matter how you feel about Dobrev leaving, Trevino promises it will be a satisfying way to say goodbye to her character.
“They did a beautiful job with her send off,” Trevino says. “I wouldn’t necessarily call it a cliffhanger, but it definitely is a, ‘where do we go from here?’ You’re going to be asking yourself, what is season seven going to be about? It’s mysterious in a way.” Continue Reading at E!Online
