Nina and Shay have always had some part with Free the Children but this time around they are teaming up for We Are Stronger Together Campaign.
Each Rafiki bracelet is handmade by more than 1,400 women in Kenya and helps raise money for water, healthcare, school supplies and healthy meals in communities in Kenya, India, Ecuador, Haiti, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Nicaragua and rural China. The women are employed through Free The Children’s sister organization, ME to WE, and employees take part in financial literacy and leadership training throughout the year, and are empowered to become leaders in their communities and provide for their children and families in ways they were not able to do before.
“I hope everyone joins me in supporting this campaign to help transform the lives of those who need it most. It’s a powerful fashion statement when you wear your passion for changing the world,” said Shay Mitchell. “I’ve had the opportunity to visit Free The Children’s partner communities in Kenya and connect with the Maasai Mamas who make these beautiful Rafiki bracelets. Seeing the impact first hand is an experience I’ll never forget.”

I am a little early with Our New Layout and the announcement of our 6 Years Online but it’s never too early to celebrate right? With work and my personal life sometimes it get’s real hectic and today I had some free time so I felt why not get it all up a little early.
It’s hard to believe that in January the site will be celebrating 6 years online, but I couldn’t of done it without all of you’s for visiting over the years. It truly means a lot to me that you all choose to keep coming back to Nina Dobrev Network and making it your source for all things Nina, and of course I couldn’t do it without Nina being who she is today. She truly is such an inspiration and she keeps me wanting to continue to do this Fan Site, her talent, her drive to do amazing things in this world, continues to inspire me to keep NDN online for many more years to come.
As we enter into 2016 I am not only excited to Celebrate our 6th Anniversary but also excited to see what the year has to bring for Nina’s career she already has a few movies lined up and I can’t wait for those to finish and be released, because I know they will be amazing just like her.
