NATALIE: They’re not down for the count just yet! “I wouldn’t say it’s a reset of the triangle,” executive producer Caroline Dries tells us. “What the show does well is that it doesn’t just make rash decisions with people that causes them to just stop loving the people they love. Damon and Elena have a deep-rooted love for each other and you can’t just turn your back on that. Elena will always feel that for Damon even if they fight or [break up]. Nina Dobrev may be drop dead gorgeous, but apparently it wasn’t always like that.
In fact, the Vampire Diaries star tells E! News, she was bullied for her looks when she was younger.
“I had a couple of awkward stages,” Dobrev, 24, said at yesterday’s TrevorLive benefit for the LGBT youth hotline The Trevor Project at the Hollywood Palladium. “Now we have hair and makeup. I pay professionals. But you didn’t have professionals when you were grade three.”
That’s when the teasing began, Dobrev said.
