As you read this, Nina Dobrev is currently filming her final episode of The Vampire Diaries, which she’s chosen to depart after six seasons — but what can we expect from her grand exit?

That’s the very question TVLine posed to executive producer Caroline Dries, who could only speak in adjectives — extremely suggestive adjectives, mind you — for fear of spilling too many details too quickly. Here’s what we got: “Surprising. Satisfying. Intriguing. Hopeful. Sad.”

As for whether or not Elena’s exit, or Jo and Alaric’s impending nuptials, might bring another M.I.A. Gilbert back into the fold, Dries said we “certainly may” see or hear from Jeremy in the coming weeks. Read More at TV LINE

TO TELL HER OR NOT TO TELL HER — Wrestling with whether or not to tell Elena (Nina Dobrev) about the cure, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) brings up their future together and what life would be like if they weren’t vampires. Meanwhile, it’s all hands on deck when attempts to stop a humanity-free Caroline (Candice Accola) doesn’t go as planned. Elsewhere, when Bonnie (Kat Graham) discovers that Damon has betrayed her trust, she takes matters into her own hands, setting off a chain of events that leaves Damon dealing with the fallout. Lastly, after being forced to face his traumatic past, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) sets out for answers and is surprised when he learns the truth about the day he was turned into a vampire. Paul Wesley, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis also star. Geoff Shotz directed the episode written by Melinda Hsu Taylor (#619). Original airdate 4/23/2015.

TVD618_0224_0028bKILLER KARAOKE — With their humanity turned off, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) begin wreaking havoc at Whitmore, leaving Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to come up with a risky plan involving Lily (guest star Annie Wersching). After rushing to help Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) treat victims of Stefan and Caroline’s latest killing spree, Elena (Nina Dobrev) discovers Jo is pregnant, prompting her to reevaluate her own life as a vampire. Meanwhile, when Sarah (guest star Tristan Mays) boldly turns the tables on an unsuspecting Enzo (Michael Malarkey), he is forced to open up about his tragic past. Lastly, at Scull Bar, a twisted round of karaoke leaves Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Matt (Zach Roerig) in a dangerous situation. It’s been an emotional week for many Vampire Diaries fans, with the surprising news that Nina Dobrev has left the show.

There are lots of questions: How will the show go on? Who will be the focus now? Will the CW pay for therapy for Damon and Elena fans? (They should.)

One question, though, that keeps popping up, and it seems to be based on speculation from people who follow celebrity gossip but don’t really watch or follow TVD, is this:

Did Nina Dobrev leave The Vampire Diaries because of her split from Ian Somerhalder?

Fans and media alike are asking whether she’s leaving the show because of a wounded heart, or because it’s just too awkward on the set, after Ian and Nina split up and he moved on with Nikki Reed, to whom he is now engaged.
