Damon and Elena aren’t even a real couple. Just saying.
Damon himself accepted that he doesn’t deserve her, but that his brother does….remember that episode where he told her that he loves her n then compelled her to forget that? I just think that Damon belongs with someone else, maybe Rose…someone a little older, more mature and stronger than Elena. Elena is perfect with Stefan. They are in love, and that isn’t going to change…if it does, it’ll affect the storyline…so think about it, guys. The whole point of this story is the complicated love triangle. That’s what it’s all about. The story is all about how she loves Stefan, without a doubt, but she can’t deny the fact that she cares for Damon too, but in a different way – as a friend. That’s what the whole story is about, how she tries to keep both of them from fighting over her, unlike Katherine, who did quite the opposite….
no they aren’t but they are part of the triangle and until the show ends, stefan/elena/damon will always be a Triangle and Elena will have a relationship with not only Stefan but Damon too , it will happen and it’s been leading up to eventually.

like vinoomika said Damon doesn’t deserve Elena she belongs with Stefan she will always do…even she “will be” with Damon and that wouldn’t happen they don’t look like stelena they don’t have that true love maybe passion but not that intense stelena passion…they are perfect to each other
it is though rebecca that’s where you are completely wrong, It’s Stefan/Elena/Damon it’s clear it’s a triangle.
Vinoomika, you don’t know that Stefan & Elena are always going to be together or that they’ll always be in love, nobody knows, that’s up to the writers to decide. & actually the whole point in the love triangle is that she loves Stefan but deep down she has feelings for Damon too, the love triangle isn’t about her being in love with Stefan & being just friends with Damon, that’s not really a love triangle. & rebecca, you don’t know that Elena doesn’t have feelings for Damon, just because she hasn’t said she does doesn’t mean she doesn’t. @ somebody, you’re saying that Damon & Elena will never be together but you’re also saying they have passion, well to me if they have passion then that normally develops into something more. “Just saying”.

Stelena own Delena ten times over. There’s no way Delena could ever compare to the love that Stelena share, as much as Delena fans deny it. Face it, it’ll always be Stefan for Elena 🙂

Why is this even up for debate when Damon and Elena have never been a couple? Damon and Elena can never be, this would totaly changed the dinamics of the show so profoundly that they would need new people to play the same characters: it would end the show for me. Lets talk Damon and Kathrine! makes better sense they are much better at the throw down love sceen’s.
