We have a potential release for Then Came You and a solid title now as well, read details below:
Shout! Studios has nabbed the North American rights to the Asa Butterfield-, Maisie Williams- and Nina Dobrev-starring teen drama Then Came You, from director Peter Hutchings and Voltage Pictures.
Shout! plans a cross-platform rollout beginning with a theatrical launch in early 2019. Then Came You, formerly Arrivals, is a coming-of-age story from BCDF Pictures and Voltage Pictures.
Directed by Peter Hutchings and written by Fergal Rock, the film portrays Skye (Williams), as a teenager with a terminal illness who befriends Calvin (Butterfield), a hypochondriac afraid of his own shadow. Calvin helps Skye carry out her eccentric list of things to do before she dies, and in the process falls in love with a beautiful, but seemingly untouchable Izzy (Dobrev).
“With a charmingly offbeat script and a winning cast, Peter Hutchings deftly blends humor and pathos into a sweet coming-of-age story that will elicit as many laughs as tears. It’s a film that leaves you really glad you watched it,” Jordan Fields, vp acquisitions at Shout! Studios, said in a statement.
Then Came You also stars Tyler Hoechlin, David Koechner, Peyton List, Tituss Burgess, Sonya Walger, Margot Bingham and Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians).
Claude Dal Farra, Brian Keady, Brice Dal Farra, Alissa Phillips, Nicolas Chartier and Derrick Tseng share the producing credits, while Jonathan Deckter and Irfaan Fredericks executive produce. The film deal was negotiated by Fields and Vanessa Keiko Flanders, Shout’s vp business affairs, and Jonathan Deckter on behalf of Voltage Pictures. Source The Hollywood Reporter
