‘The Vampire Diaries’: Will Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s breakup affect Delena ‘shippers?

This is a stressful time to be a Vampire Diaries fan. Not only is next week the season finale, but Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have ended their adorably zen, fedora-laden relationship of the past three years.

Why the organic-loving, optimistic couple called it quits, nobody seems to know. But after the show wrapped, the couple went their separate ways. Nina chose to spend some girl time in Florida while Ian traveled the globe, during which he recently tweeted, “A THOUGHT FOR TODAY: People change and forget to tell each other. -Lillian Hellman, playwright (1905-1984)” Could this have something to do with his breakup? It’s possible.
