So on June the 3rd I set off to sunny London at 6am to get my wristband for the vampire diaries signing.
Arriving at oxford circus at 7:15am off I go to find HMV. Getting there it all looks to be dead no one in site. Thinking I was the first one there… about 5 minutes waiting out side the main entrance I am told that there is a huge queue at the side entrance stupid me as if I would be the first one there at 7:30am. I walk round to the side entrance and I am greeted with a nice long queue thinking to myself I could be too late to get a wristband. Lining up anyway I make my way to the back.
About 10mins in a member of the security team walk past and tell us we should be ok to get the wristband (good times) so im waiting in line on my own when some one says I look like Ian which was very flattering I must admit, as the morning went on more and more people where telling me this. (Enjoying this)
At about 8:30 we are handed little orange raffle tickets with a number on, this would guarantee you where one of the lucky few to get a wristband. I was number 300 so was very lucky to get in. There were people that had camped out to be the first people to get in. (I later made friends with these people who were so lovely made the day even more fun)
So 9am hits and the doors open, being lead into HMV in small groups to get our wristbands.
9:45 got my wristband im in!! now all we had to do was wait, 9 hours to see the awesome vampire diaries cast but more importantly the lovely Nina Dobrev.
So off I went to work for what would be a slow 4hour half day.
2pm finish work and off I go back to oxford circus to once again get my place in the queue. Arriving back at around 2:30 I find it to be quite quiet so went off shopping and went back at 4pm queue was a lot bigger now. Quickly making friends with the people at the front @nadine_mrsspoon , @natfrog5, @hayleyTofficial (sorry if I missed anyone) I join them and have a laugh waiting for the doors to open. In this time I am still being told I look like Ian and getting people asking for pictures this was so much fun. (This made the day even more awesome thank you it was so flattering to be told this)
So 6pm comes round (finally) and we are let in, Its about a thousand degrees in the HMV store and starting to get nervous what am I going to say, what if make a fool of myself all this going through your head. Then suddenly you hear even more screams from all the girls in the crowd as you see Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley appear from the doors.
Making there way to the front of the stage they greet everyone with big smiles bows and lots of air kisses. They where so humble and grateful for the support and kept saying thank you thank you. After a few pictures for press they take there seats with Nina sitting in the middle of the two guys.
Ok so it’s almost time to go up there, staring to get nervous and excited at the same time. Before I know it im next inline to walk on to the stage and finally meet the lovely Nina.
She was so lovely and kind and asked my name, how long I had been here waiting and what I thought of the show, she was so beautiful and I kindly asked for a picture she was more than happy to take the time to have one with me and climbed onto the table so it could be taken by some one else. This was a truly awesome day and has only made me love the show even more. I can not wait for season 2. It’s going to be epic.
Having to wait and queue all that time to speak to them for about a 1 minute was so worth it this was one of the best days I had so much fun.
